Mistakes that lead you to fail

MISTAKES THAT LEAD YOU TO FAIL

“So Saul died because he was unfaithful to the Lord. He failed to obey the Lord’s command, and he even consulted a medium instead of asking the Lord for guidance. So the Lord killed him and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse” (1 Chronicles 10:13-14 NLT).

Saul didn’t have to die at such a young age. Nowadays, there are so many people that have failed at an early age, but the question is why did Saul fail and die so soon?

The causes that lead to failure:

1. Unfaithfulness. People that are unfaithful do not have success in the long-run, nor are they successful in their marriage, business or ministry. Better said, they are unsuccessful in all areas.

2. Disobedience. People who do not obey become a problem wherever they go.

3. Failing to seek God’s direction. The human being’s greatest mistake it to live independent of the Lord.

The causes that lead to success:

1. Faithfulness. You must be a trustworthy person in order to be successful. No one can trust big things unto someone who is not trustworthy. You need to be faithful to God, to your family, and to the good friends He has allowed you to have. Don’t let God down. If you remain trustworthy, He will take you far and you will be successful in the long-run.

2. Obedience. The person who knows how to follow instructions will rarely make mistakes. Those who are rebellious and disobedient do not last very long in an employment, nor do they go far with their businesses. Some of them end up in jail or bankrupt. Obeying the Lord’s instructions will produce a happier life that is full of peace and many abundant blessings.

3. The wise direction. We can all benefit from a mentor. We can go far in life when we have a mentor who has already been where we are, and obeying their advice can save us years of mistakes, pain and delays. These mentors come in different ways, they can be your biological or spiritual parents, an excellent teacher, a good pastor or a wise friend.

There are huge projects that God is about to take from those who are disobedient to give them to those who are faithful. Trust and obey God’s instructions and you will never regret it.

“So Saul died because he was unfaithful to the Lord… So the Lord killed him and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse” (1 Chronicles 10:13-14 NLT).
