Release your hurt

RELEASE YOUR HURT

“O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge” (Psalm 62:8 NLT).

Most of the time we human beings tend to reprimand the pain we feel when we go through a tragedy or loss. Throughout the years, we go through unexpected suffering that we do not know how to process. Therefore, we hide the grief we are experiencing because we are afraid or because we cannot bare the reality that is happening in our lives.

Hurting is part of our journey here on earth; we cannot run from it, because that will only hurt us more. Unconsciously we all ignore what we feel or we deny it because it’s just too painful for us to face. However, God is calling us to vent what is in our hearts before Him.

The Bible says:

“… Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge” (Psalm 62:8 NLT).

Drugs, alcohol, sex not even your best friend will be able to heal you. The only One who can deliver and heal your soul is God, your true refuge. Perhaps, you wonder why you have been stressed lately or you speculate why you have felt reluctant to go forward. This might be because you haven’t cried in a while and because you haven’t let go of the hurt you’ve been carrying for such a long time.

“God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted” (Matthew 5:4 NLT).

It is time to cry and release your hurt before God. Do not take another step without first spending intimate time with the Lord and truly pouring out your heart before Him. Crying is not a sign of weakness, in fact, it is necessary and it will help us live with a healthy heart at all times.

God is about to close a cycle in your life and that is why it seems as if the pain is intensifying; but have faith and lean on God your Heavenly Father. His eyes of love are over you right now.

“O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge” (Psalm 62:8 NLT).

Think about it:

What hurt have you been reprimanding lately?
How can you release your hurt in order to heal your emotions?
