When Someone Makes Fun of You, God Will Take Care of it

WHEN SOMEONE MAKES FUN OF YOU, GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF IT

Then I prayed, “Hear us, our God, for we are being mocked. May their scoffing fall back on their own heads, and may they themselves become captives in a foreign land! Nehemiah 4:4 NLT

Whenever your mind is troubled because of the words you heard when others were making fun of your physique, your education, your background, your faith or your economic situation, do the following:

  1. Do not allow other people’s opinions to discourage you.
  • He knows who you are. He will vindicate you and reward you in public.
  • Do not take vengeance on your own.
  • He knows how to make all things work for good.

Then as I looked over the situation, I called together the nobles and the rest of the people and said to them, “Don’t be afraid of the enemy! Remember the Lord, who is great and glorious, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes!” Nehemiah 4:14 NLT

  1. Remember that God is greater than those who made fun of you.

    3. Encourage others and pursue to leave a better world for your children and decedents in the future.

Do not allow mockery to paralyze you and stop you from reaching your goals and being an example for your loved ones.
Strive to learn English even if people make fun of your accent. Strive to help your sons and daughters graduate college, fight to start a new generation of college graduates, entrepreneurs and pastors in your family.
It does not matter if others make fun of you. God is smiling on you with affirmation, acceptance and love.

Time to Reflect:

  • How does other’s criticism and mockery affect you?
  • What is most important, other’s opinions or what God thinks about you? What do you believe God thinks of you.
