Giants that can stop your dreams

GIANTS THAT CAN STOP YOUR DREAMS

There are giants that can hinder us from reaching our dreams. God created you with a dream. Nothing that you see today started as what you see right now, in fact, it all started with a dream in someone’s mind and heart. God has dreams for your life, but the enemy has tried to put giants in your way to hamper and stop your dreams.

Delay: There are promises from God that do not happen immediately, and there are dreams that are hindered or delayed by giants in your life such as, age, race, discrimination, your physical aspect, your gender or the lack of academic achievements. When God’s dream threatens someone else’s dream, other giants will arise and they will try to hinder you. Nevertheless, you must know that in God you have the capacity to tear down the delay.

Discouragement: David had to face the giant of discouragement. Everyone in Israel’s army was full of fear (1 Samuel 17:8-11). We must be careful not to make friends with people that are fearful and who lack faith. The enemy will want to intimidate you and terrify you with his look and threats, but do not be discouraged continue to go forward with your dreams. When God asked to build a temple in the city of Las Vegas, we didn’t know how to do it, the statistics revealed that the average church in Las Vegas grew to be 100 members and that most Hispanics don’t have the economical capacity to pay for a building that costs millions of dollars. However, despite the era of financial crisis, we didn’t listen to the giants and that is why today our building has become a reality where thousands of people gather every week.

Doubt: David told Saul, “Do not worry about the Philistine, I will go and fight against him”. Saul replied, “Don’t be a fool! There is no way you can fight against this Philistine and beat him. You are only a boy, and he has been a man of war since his youth”. Experts can make mistakes; doubt might tell you that you are not going to make it, that you are not the right person for a project, and that you will not succeed in your business nor your marriage. Doubt reminds you of the past, making you think you will not be successful. Don’t let doubt limit you or steal your dreams, instead be like David who was young and unexperienced, yet full of great faith.

Remember: When you have God in your life, giants are not what they look like, because greater is the One who is in you then he who is in the world. Do not be intimidated, you are more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus.

Think about it:

Who have you been listening to?
Who is hindering your dreams?
Why have you conformed and stopped dreaming?
