Have faith

HAVE FAITH

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see” (Hebrews 11:1 NIV).

Do not fear anyone nor anything, learn to live by faith. What is faith? Faith is the confidence of what you hope for and the assurance of what you still don’t see. Perhaps you say, “Pastor, what I see right now is the diagnosis the doctor gave me”. However, faith is the confidence of what you hope for, in other words, what you expect. Therefore, what are you expecting?

The Bible says, “… by his wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5 NIV).

It is true that right now the reality is that you are sick, but faith says you have already been healed, thus, you have the right to expect your healing. You need to have the assurance that God has good plans for your life and that sickness and problems are not meant to be forever. Do not meditate so much on your problems, instead choose to meditate on God’s promises.

Look at what Hebrews 11:6 says, “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him” (NIV).

It is impossible to please the Lord without faith and it is also impossible to come to Him if we don’t believe He exists. When you go to a restaurant, you go expecting to eat food, right? Then, how come people don’t come to church expecting a word of transformation from God?

When you come to church you need to come with faith, expecting God’s promises to be fulfilled. When you have this attitude, the Word assures us that we will be rewarded for seeking God faithfully.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV).

You need to have the faith that God will accomplish His good plans for you, that He will heal you, that He will free you, and that even if the vision takes time, it will come to pass. Your faith will cause you to receive what you expect from God, but you need to believe it first.

Don’t continue this day with a depressive attitude neither be afraid of anything, for God is love and perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). It doesn’t matter if you have been rejected or if someone has made fun of you, because they think you can’t achieve something, for faith says that if you’re expecting something good, then you’re going to receive something good, and if you are convinced your dreams will become a reality, then in God’s grace they will. Have faith!

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see” (Hebrews 11:1 NIV).

Think about it:

What do you hope to receive from God?
What obstacles have wanted to destroy your faith?
