There is no peace without love

THERE IS NO PEACE WITHOUT LOVE

“The most important commandment is this: … love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’Noother is greater than these” (Mark 12:29-31 NLT).commandment

The man that gathered multiple combat weapons to kill more than fifty people and injure hundreds of individuals in Las Vegas was unable to understand these two commandments.

If he would have had God’s love and a love for people, it would have never crossed his mind to buy war weapons and strategically plan how he would bring in about thirty suitcases full of gunsinto the Mandalay Bay Hotel, then situate himself at a window on the thirty second floor to shoot thousands of innocent people attending a concert.

This man did not love God; he didn’t love himself, thus he didn’t love people. Someone who has love in their heart cannot do such a terrible thing.

We need to understand that God is the only hope for this world. There is no peace without God, and there will not be any peace if we do not have Jesus Christ in our hearts. There is no peace without love.

Most likely, you and I will not use war weapons to hurt others like this man did, but many times we hurt others with our words and our attitude at home, school or in the church.

Therefore, let’s assimilate this in our hearts and begin to practice loving one another today with the people who surround us.

“The most important commandment is this: … love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’Noother is greater than these” (Mark 12:29-31 NLT).commandment

Think about it:

How can you transmit peace today?
Why is it that there is no peace without God?
