LIFE IS SHORT
Life is short and we don’t have time to do everything. God doesn’t expect us to be the best soccer player, the best baseball player, the best golfer, the best astronaut, nor the best pastor in the world all at the same time. We do not have time to do it all. We only have time to do those things that are in God’s will.
People are fragile, they are like grass that spring up in the morning, “In the morning it blooms and flourishes, but by evening it is dry and withered” (Psalm 90:6 NLT).
We cannot waste our time trying to please everyone. We need to discover God’spurpose for our life and seek to only please Him.
Many opportunities will come our way, and we can take them, but not all of them will align usto our purpose. Since our life is so short, we need to invest and use our time, strength, and energy wisely. We have the right to do everything, but not everything benefits us (1 Corinthians 10:23 NIV).
We shouldn’t allow our life to go before our eyes without first making sure that we are living every day as if it were the last day. Sometimes we let ourselves be taken by the current of wanting to do everything all at once, but deep inside we know what we were born for and we know how we want God to find us when He returns.
When we are living wisely God gives us His approval, He supports us in all we do and He prospers us for the effort we give in fulfilling His purpose for our lives. If you have been battling lately or if you have been feeling stressed it might be because you are not in your purpose or because you are doing things in your own strength.
Today is a new opportunity to align your life and your efforts to your purpose. Constantly make sure you are living this short period of time called life aligned to God’s Will, and in thisway you will be living wisely.
Think about it:
How are you using your time?
What are you endeavoring to do?
What are you doing every day to live as if it were your last day on earth?
