Salvation and Blessings

SALVATION AND BLESSINGS

“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.  Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it” (Ephesians 2:8-9 NLT).

Salvation is a gift, but the blessings on earth are a harvest. Forgiveness of sins are a gift, we cannot do anything in return to earn access to heaven. However, if we want to live blessed on earth, then we must continue to do good on earth.

The Bible says:

“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith” (Galatians 6:9-10 NLT).

It doesn’t matter how hard we work nor how much we give, we will never be able to earn God’s grace, because He freely gave it to us. There is nothing we can do to earn salvation, because it’s by His grace that we have received it, all we have to do is believe in Him and accept Him in our hearts.

Nevertheless, if we want to reap the blessing of heaven, we need to serve the Lord through serving people, because this is what it means to do good.

When you finally understand that you are saved by grace, you can grow your faith and do what it good; and you can receive the blessings the Heavenly Father has for you. There are many blessings in heaven that have your name on them, all you need to do is believe and suffice yourself in His grace.

Grace is God’s supernatural power to be who we cannot be in our own human strength, and to do what we cannot do in our own human strength. Simply, let the Lord’s grace be enough for you, and stop trying to prove yourself to Him just to gain His acceptance. You already have it! Keep doing what is good, and sooner or later you will also reap His blessings.

“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it” (Ephesians 2:8-9 NLT).

What do you need to change in your attitude in order to receive God’s grace?
Who can you bless today?
