OPEN PORTALS
“The officer assisting the king said to the man of God, “That couldn’t happen even if the Lord opened the windows of heaven!” But Elisha replied, “You will see it happen with your own eyes, but you won’t be able to eat any of it!” (2 Kings 7:2 NLT).
When we find ourselves before a sickness that seems incurable or when we’re in the process of a divorce that seems irremediable or even in a situation where our sons and daughters are lost, and there’s nothing we can do to rescue them from the streets or drugs, then this can cause our emotional state to decline to such a degree that we allow the enemy to step on our faith.
It is during adversity that the devil takes advantage by trying to convince us with his lies, and we think that God can fix our situation, but “That couldn’t happen even if the Lord opened the windows of heaven!”(2 Kings 7:2 NLT). When the king’s assistant shouted this, his lack of faith caused him not to access the blessing.
In the same way, we close the windows of heaven when our negativity stops us from believing in God’s supernatural power to cure a sickness, restore our marriage, and save our children.
Even worst, we see others receive the blessings and we question why we don’t receive them. Here is the answer, “You will see it happen with your own eyes, but you won’t be able to eat any of it!” (2 Kings 7:2 NLT).
We must be convinced that God’s Word is true as we remember what He tells us in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope” (NLT).
When the windows of heaven are opened, you have access to what is yours in heaven, and in heaven there is no sickness, there are no fights, and your children are saved.
Do not believe the devil, believe God and you won’t only see open portals, but you’ll also have access to the blessings.
Remember that what is impossible for men is possible for God.
Put yourself aside and let God be God. If you want to continue to have control over your life and do things your way, then you will not see open portals.
Today, surrender to God, forgive, let go of bitterness, resentment, vices, idolatry, and you will have access to God’s glory.

Think about it:
What situation has caused you to stop trusting God?
What blessing are you waiting for and why do you think is hasn’t arrived, yet?
