WHO DO I REALLY WORK FOR?
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving” (Colossians 3:23-24 NLT).
All honest work is a place where I can work as if for God and not for men.
The person who I work for will also be the one who blesses me, that is why I work for God.When we work with the mentality that everything we do is as if it were for God, we do it with enthusiasm. He rewards us by giving us grace with people in our job, so they give us raises, better positions, etc.
“Unfailing love, O Lord, is yours.Surely you repay all people according to what they have done.” (Psalms 62:12 NLT).
It’s not the same to ask where do you work?than to ask who do you work for?
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving” (Colossians 3:23-24 NLT)
Who do you work for? You can await your reward from that person.
Think about it:
Who do you work for? What reward are you waiting for from God? Do you work with an enthusiastic attitude or do you simply fulfill your obligations? What can you begin doing this week in your job that will make you go the extra mile?
