THE BLESSING OF BEING RELEVANT AND PRACTICAL

One of our values in our church is “Practical Relevance”.
We teach in a way that all people, both those with a university education, as well as those with little or no school education, can learn.
Our basis will always be the Bible, but we will explain it so that all people can benefit from what they are hearing and that when they leave the Church, they can apply it immediately to their lives at home, at work, or at school.
What authority what Paul speaking about? The supernatural power of God.
“And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit”. (1 Corinthians 2:4 NLT)
I am so pleased to hear testimonies continuously of people in the Church, telling me that their life has been transformed by the message they have heard in a practical and relevant way, but full of the supernatural power of God.
What is the result of being practical and relevant? People learn to trust in God and not in human wisdom. Miracles don’t happen in a self-improvement workshop, in a merely motivational conference.
“I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 2:5 NLT)
Something extra: What is the only way that the enemy, the Devil, can steal the Word of God in our hearts? When the one who hears it does not understand it
Think about it:
In what way have you been sharing the Word of God with your family and friends? In a practical way so that they understand it or religiously? Only with human wisdom or with demonstration of the Power of God?
