The Lord gives us instructions in life

THE LORD GIVES US INSTRUCTIONS IN LIFE

“I asked, ‘What should I do, Lord?’ “And the Lord told me, ‘Get up and go into Damascus, and there you will be told everything you are to do. (Acts 22:10 NLT)

Many people want God to speak to them, but they don’t listen to what he has told them to do in the past. Others go from place to place looking for someone to give them a new prophetic word, but they haven’t listened to the previous words.

I imagine God asks: why do you want me to answer you if you haven’t listened to the instructions I’ve already given you?

I have frequently asked God to clarify what he wants me to do. Let’s note the small steps God gave Paul when he asked what he should do?

“I asked, ‘What should I do, Lord?’ “And the Lord told me, ‘Get up and go into Damascus, and there you will be told everything you are to do”. (Acts 22:10 NLT)

1. Get up. We must decide to leave the situation we are in.

2. Enter Damascus. Let’s walk. We need to leave certain places to enter others. Abandon what’s comfortable and known to enter the unknown. Leave behind the old way of thinking to enter into a new mindset. We must dare to move by faith. Let’s go where we haven’t gone, start projects we haven’t done before, visit people we haven’t visited, speak to people we haven’t spoken to, etc.

“I asked, ‘What should I do, Lord?’ “And the Lord told me, ‘Get up and go into Damascus, and there you will be told everything you are to do. (Acts 22:10 NLT)

Think about it:

Have you sought direction from God for your life?
What had God told you to do? What has God told you to leave behind?
Have you obeyed his instructions?
