GOD’S BLESSING
I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. (Genesis 12:2 NLT)
We all want God’s blessing and surely God wants to bless us, but we should know what requirements there are to obtain it.
What is God’s blessing?
Blessing is the divine authorization to supernaturally progress in everything we do despite the circumstances. It helps us to do what we cannot do in our own strengths.
Blessing is the evidence that God is with us. The Bible says that Joseph prospered in everything. When he was a slave, he was prosperous. When he was imprisoned, he was prosperous. And, when he was positioned as governor of Egypt, he was also prosperous. Why? Because he had God’s blessing.
The Lord was with Joseph, so he succeeded in everything he did as he served in the home of his Egyptian master. 3 Potiphar noticed this and realized that the Lord was with Joseph, giving him success in everything he did. (Genesis 39:2-3 NLT)
Who is the Heavenly Father’s blessing for?
- The blessing of the Heavenly Father is for his sons and daughters. (Luke 15:31)
- God’s blessing is for those who are obedient. (Deut. 28:1-2).
- God’s blessing is for those who have faith. (Hebrews 11:6). Do you want to please God? Believe in Him, have faith, and you will see that He will bless you.
- The Heavenly Father’s blessing is for those who serve Him. God does not forget about the work of love we do for Him and His church. (Hebrews 11:10). Our service accumulates into a great reward in heavenly places.
Think about it:
What requirement do you need to fulfill to be blessed?
In what area do you want God to prosper you?
What have you not been able to achieve in your own strengths?
