HOW DO WE BECOME IMPORTANT?
Mordecai became second-hand to the king himself. He was a great man amongst Jews. How do you become a great and important person?
1. He was an important man.
Someone or something becomes important when they add value to others with their lives, through what they know or do.
A man is important to his family when he adds value by being a good husband and father, providing for the material and emotional needs of his home; protecting and affirming his wife and children.
2. He was held on high esteem.
There are people who are only remembered when they die, but there are others who are missed when they leave this world.
The first live to accumulate, and the second live to give. The first have an attitude of “life owes me…” but the second ask, “What can I give to my generation?”
The second leave a positive mark on others and enrich those around them while they are on this earth, giving love, time, service, goods, etc.
3. Keep in mind the good and peace of people.
Did you notice the reason why Mordecai became an important person? He lived in a way that he defended the well-being of his people and promoted peace.
You become more valuable to society and before God when you become someone who is part of a solution instead of a problem.
This city will never be the same because thousands of Eagles CFC members and other congregations have worked toward the peace in Las Vegas. We have restored thousands of youth and adults, single and married people. We have prayed for multitudes of sick people that have healed, saved authorities millions of dollars because of transforming lives.
Without a doubt, when the Lord comes and we are no longer here, the church will not only be remembered, but missed.
I want to live in a way that when I die, I’m not only remembered but missed. What about you? How are you living?
Think about it:
How are you living your life? Do you think you will be remembered or also missed?
What are you doing to add value to and enrich others?
Do you try to keep good will and peace with those around you? Are you part of the solution or the problem?
