GOD IS FIRST
In the ten commandments, God is first.
This first commandment says that we shouldn’t idolatrize, but idolatry continues to be practiced. There are many things that become our priority and that becomes an idol: “Anything that takes the place of God.”
How to know if we are worshiping God?
• Whatever you seek for first, that’s what you worship.
• Whatever gives you a sense of security or identity, that’s what you worship.
• Whatever you run to when you have problems, that’s what you worship.
• If you think of God first in the midst of all problems, that’s who you worship.
• Whatever you give all of your energy to, that’s what you worship.
If we want to have success in every area, we must put God first in our lives.
Think about it:
Who do you run to first when you have problems?
Who or what makes you feel secure or confident?
What do you give all your energy and time to?
Based on your answers, who do you worship?
