Direct your dark questions to God

DIRECT YOUR DARK QUESTIONS TO GOD

… At noon, darkness fell across the whole land until three o’clock. 34 Then at three o’clock Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” which means “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?” (Mark 15:33-34 NLT)

Darkness represents those crises, dark and difficult to understand situations that people sometimes experience.

When we find ourselves in these painful moments of our lives, it’s normal for us to ask ourselves questions. Why is this happening?
God does not get angry when we go through moments of confusion such as pain over a lost love done.

But we should also be careful of directing our difficult questions to God and not people. People frequently try to give a light answer. “Don’t worry, everything will be fine.” “That is how God wanted it, He is in control.” “Maybe you did something wrong and that’s why this is happening to you, etc.”

Jesus didn’t ask the soldiers, nor his disciples, nor his mother. He went directly to the Heavenly Father.

Only God can understand the darkest moments in your life. Only He can understand the pain of losing your health, a family member, the tragedy of divorce, losing your life savings, etc.

To summarize, direct your difficult questions to God and not man.

Think about it:

Are you confronting a crisis and thus have difficult questions?
Have you asked these questions to God or man?
What questions do you have for God?
