Prepare a room for me

PREPARE A ROOM FOR ME

One more thing—please prepare a guest room for me, for I am hoping that God will answer your prayers and let me return to you soon. (Philemon 1:22 NLT)

You must maintain hope even in darkness.

He was always living by faith. Always believing and waiting for the best. He asked Philemon to prepare a room for him because he was going to visit. What is unusual of this petition?

To understand this, you must understand the circumstances and Paul’s age when he wrote this. He was not in a five-star hotel enjoying a barbeque. He was in jail. The Bible says:

…Paul, an old man and now also a prisoner for the sake of Christ Jesus.  (Philemon 1:9 NLT)

Paul did not get depressed, he always lived hoping for the best because he knew the power of prayer and from jail Paul said:

One more thing—please prepare a guest room for me, for I am hoping that God will answer your prayers and let me return to you soon. (Philemon 1:22 NLT)

It does not matter the situation you are going through, do not get depressed in the Christmas season, live hoping for the best.
If Paul being old and in jail can speak like this, then you and I can also tell the upcoming year “prepare me a room because the best of my life is coming in this new year.”

One more thing—please prepare a guest room for me, for I am hoping that God will answer your prayers and let me return to you soon. (Philemon 1:22 NLT)

Think:

Have you felt in darkness and have you lost hope?
What are you waiting for from God?
What do you need to start speaking by faith?
