PRACTICAL WAYS THAT SHOW IF YOU KNOW GOD

And we can be sure that we know him if we obey his commandments. (1 John 2:3 NLT)

How can someone say that they know God? It’s difficult to explain in a practical and understandable way.

Speaking about God can be an abstract topic. He is not someone we can see with our physical eyes.

We hear that “God is love, “God is Spirit” etc.

So, how do I know if I really know Him if I can’t see Him? How do I know He’s not just a myth?

And we can be sure that we know him if we obey his commandments.

How do I know if I DON’T know God?

If someone claims, “I know God,” but doesn’t obey God’s commandments, that person is a liar and is not living in the truth.
(1 John 2:4 NLT)

How do I know if I love God?

But those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him.  (1 Juan 2:5)

Lord, I know it’s difficult to understand your person with my physical senses, but I trust in this simple and practical response.: And we can be sure that we know him if we obey his commandments. (1 John 2:3 NLT)
Lord, give me the grace to simply live like you did as much as possible. That will be my physical evidence and trust that I know you and that you are not a myth.

Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.. (1 John 2:6)

Think about it:

How have I lived this year? What are my present habits? What are my dreams and desires? Do they look like Christ’s?
How do I automatically react to temptation, problems, and difficult people?
