BIG AND SMALL

And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and the books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. (Revelation 20:12 NIV)

We will all stand before God. Influential and non-influential people, the rich and the poor, people with university degrees and people with no schooling; all races, people of all colors, all sizes, all languages; famous and unknown.

We will all be accountable for the good and the bad we did in life. No one is excused from not presenting themselves to be held accountable.

No one can use their earthly titles to influence the judge. We will all stand before God, no one will be able to pay to have charges dropped or to be rewarded.

“The Books” are those that contain the works of each of us humans.

“The Book” refers to the book of life of the lamb, that is, where the names of all those who accept Christ in our hearts are written.

We will not be judged in the judgment of the “white throne” to see if we are saved or not. We will stand before the “court of Christ” to test our works and receive our award/s according to them. (2 Cor. 5:10)

Think about it:

What kind of works have we done in life?
Will we have more charges on us than rewards?
What works do we need to start doing?
