Four virtues to help you live with purpose

FOUR VIRTUES TO HELP YOU LIVE WITH PURPOSE

But you, Timothy, certainly know what I teach, and how I live, and what my purpose in life is. You know my faith, my patience, my love, and my endurance. 2 Timothy NLT

Fulfilling God’s purpose is not easy or automatic, but the Bible teaches us that Paul lived what he preached through these four virtues:

1. Faith.
You cannot reach God’s purpose without faith.
See what God sees. Call things that aren’t as it they were.

It is impossible to please God without faith (Hebrews 11.6).

2. Patience.
To achieve God’s purpose in your life, you need to ask the Holy Spirit to help you persevere, so that you do not lose your joy during the difficult circumstances.

3. Love. Without love, what we do is worthless.
There are three things that remain: faith, hope and love, but the greatest one of all three is love.                                                                                                                                                                    If you do not do things with love, eventually you will get tired and you’ll be easily tempted to abandon your goals.
When you love what you do, you don’t consider it a job, but an opportunity.

4. Endurance.
Nothing that is “worth it” comes without opposition. You will have to endure. Marriage will not be successful without discipline.
A student will not graduate college without having dedication.
See yourself doing great things for the Lord despite your limits.

MAKE THE EFFORT TO LIVE WITH FAITH, PATIENCE, LOVE AND ENDURANCE.

Think about it:

What virtue do you need to apply to fulfill your purpose? Have you lacked endurance?
Have you gotten tired of fighting the good fight? How can you gain momentum and achieve your goals?
