WHAT HAS HELD US UP DURING THIS CRISIS?

The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him. (Nahum 1:7 NLT)

God is a strong refuge when threats of plague and crisis come. That strong refuge is for those who trust in Him. What has heldus up during this crisis?

1.- God’s faithfulness
. God has been good during this time. Somehow you are still in your home, your kids are still studying, you have had enough food and have had your needs. You haven’t only had enough, but maybe you’ve had enough to be able to bless others.

2.- “Pray without ceasing” (Thes. 5:17)Prayer is what has held us up. We have prayed and fasted, and that’s why the family have been protected, we have seen salvation and healings, we have prayed for God to give us direction in how to return to the church building and for there to be a humbling in humanity. Eagles CFC has been saturated with prayer. The intercession ministry has not stopped. Nearly 300 intercessors have been praying weekly in small groups, and some of us have prayed even more individually.

3.- It is such a blessing to have Houses of Peace and be organized with pastors, elders, mentors, deacons, and HOP leaders. How would Dinora and I have been able to care for thousands of people? It would be humanly impossible, but it is not thanks to the Houses of Peace, discipleships, and teachers.

4.- The apostolic and prophetic messages have held us up. In times of crisis, it’s not only about bringing motivational messages, but we also need prophetic messages to know what God is speaking in the now. During global crises, human power is not enough. We need the supernatural power of God.

5.- The extraordinary people of our church. From the beginning, there was an explosion of compassion and generosity, of caring for one another, taking each other supplies. Before the pandemic, we were learning about the book of Acts in church, about how the disciples dedicated to prayer, read the Word, shared their goods and took care of one another. God was preparing us there! It’s all about God and people!

Think about it:

In what ways have you seen God’s support during this crisis?
Out of these five things, which has sustained you during this time?
Have you been connected with God and your church during this time?
