The dangers of social distancing

THE DANGERS OF SOCIAL DISTANCING

..King Baasha of Israel invaded Judah and fortified Ramah in order to prevent anyone from entering or leaving King Asa’s territory in Judah. (2 Chronicles 16:1 NLT)

Social distancing, isolation, loneliness, etc. (Similar and dangerous words).

In this story, this king put walls so that no one could enter or leave the city.

Walls can serve to protect, but they can also serve to isolate.

The greatest danger of Covid are the different consequences of social isolation.

I read seven dangers of isolation mentioned by Doctor Daniel Amen.
I will mention two:

1.- Increased risk of developing ALZHEIMERS and dementia. A study in 2018 with 12 thousand people showed that people who suffer from isolation have a 40% higher risk of developing dementia.

2.- Risks in physical health. The risks of physical health problems in people who don’t have social relationships are similar to those of someone who smokes 15 cigarettes a day.

Summary: We were not created for loneliness and isolation.
Let’s keep our relationships healthy with God and with our spiritual family, even if it’s online for now; But let’s stay connected

How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony! For harmony is as precious as the anointing oil… (Psalms 133:1-2 NLT)

Think about it:

Have you isolated yourself in these times?
Have you maintained your relationship with God?
How are you still connected to your spiritual family?
Do you connect to the services and online house of peace?
