Confidence, will and response

CONFIDENCE, WILL AND RESPONSE

I once heard that God always answers, but not always how we want. Sometimes He says “yes” or “no” ; sometimes He says “I have something better” ‘ other times He says “not yet”.

How to receive answers to my petitions?

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.(1 John 5:14 NKJV)

1. Confidence.
There should be a level of confidence in God. I couldn’t ask a lot from someone I don’t trust. God is my father.
But the confidence to ask persistently comes when I know that I am asking according to His will.

2. Ask according to His will.
God is not obligated to fulfill my stubborn desires, and much less if it’s something that goes against His will, like violating his commandments.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.(1 John 5:14 NKJV)

3. Listen.

And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him(1 John 5:14 NKJV)

Think about it:

Have you doubted that God listens to you?
Do you see God as your father?
What are you asking God for?
Is it a stubborn desire or are you sure that it’s within God’s will?
