Early

EARLY

But very early on Sunday morning[a] the women went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. (Luke 24:1 NLT)

We must learn to do what is important early.

It’s very important to me to have a meaningful time of prayer every day so that I can carry such a burden and ministerial responsibility on my shoulders.

I remember that years ago my strong prayer time was at the end of the day, at night, when the apartment where we lived was completely silent and I could then go to a closet or the bathroom to pray quietly.

Note: Different hours of the day work for different people depending on their lifestyle.

But, over time, the silence of the early morning became a much better practice for me and with the advantage that at that time I am more energetic; now my strong prayer times are the first thing I do in the day.

I don’t wake up checking my phone for messages or emails, I don’t wake up early turning on the TV. I get up straight to have a significant time of fellowship with my beloved Jesus, to talk calmly with the Holy Spirit, with no rush or distractions.

These women got up early and the first thing they did was go to the last place where they had seen Jesus.

The first thing I usually do early is to secure my closeness with Jesus.

I really enjoy it! It’s not a burden to me. It’s a delight!

But it wasn’t something instantaneous, it was a habit formed with time and practice.

But very early on Sunday morning[a] the women went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. (Luke 24:1 NLT)

Think about it:

What is the first thing you do early when you wake up?

What’s most important to you?

What’s the best time for you to spend quality time with God?
