Perplexed

PERPLEXED

As they stood there puzzled, two men suddenly appeared to them, clothed in dazzling robes. (Luke 24:4 NLT)

This year has left many people perplexed, paralyzed, confused, and hurt by circumstances.

When we are perplexed we can’t think straight. We can’t see clearly and that makes decision making difficult for us.

These women were perplexed by the fact that they couldn’t find Jesus.

Because of their reaction, God sent angels to them who provided them with several things:

The women were terrified and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, “Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? 6 He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Remember what he told you back in Galilee, 7 that the Son of Man[a] must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that he would rise again on the third day. (Luke 24:5-7 NLT)

 They gave them peace.

  1. Clarity. They understood what happened.
  2. Correct Perspective. All of this was a part of God’s plan. Not everything was destroyed, the best was yet to come.
  3. Motivation for life. Jesus had risen! Now there was an exciting mission to accomplish.

As they stood there puzzled, two men suddenly appeared to them, clothed in dazzling robes. (Lucas 24:4 NLT)

Think about it:

Have you ever felt perplexed by everything that is happening right now?

Why do you think it’s important in these times to seek God more?

What has God spoken to you in your times of prayer and reading of his Word?
