It’s not a competition

IT’S NOT A COMPETITION

So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy. (Romans 9:16)

This verse brings much gratitude to my heart because God has allowed me to live to be in his ministry, to do what many might want but for some reason not allowed.

It is a privilege for me to be a pastor, that God has trusted me for his perfect word to go through my imperfect mind and mouth to be a blessing to people.
It is a privilege for me that the Lord has trusted me after having had a not-so-ideal youth.

It is not about the most perfect and holy.
It is not about competition, nor about the one who pushes and tries to run, but the one that God calls and has mercy on.
Some want to preach and lead for contention and competition, not sincerely, but others want to do it out of love.

It’s true that some are preaching out of jealousy and rivalry. But others preach about Christ with pure motives. (Philippians 1:15 NLT)

Think About It:
What privilege has God trusted you with?
What you do for God are you doing with love?
What moves you to serve God?
