How did Jesus overcome grief? Part 2

HOW DID JESUS OVERCOME GRIEF?
Part 2

Later, John’s disciples came for his body and buried it. Then they went and told Jesus what had happened. As soon as Jesus heard the news, he left in a boat to a remote area to be alone. But the crowds heard where he was headed and followed on foot from many towns.(Matthew 14:12-13 NLT)

Yesterday we learned about one of the things that Jesus did after learning about the death of his cousin John, He looked for a moment to process his thoughts and emotions. What else helped him overcome grief?
2. What did Jesus see? What helped Jesus get out of his sadness and mourning for his cousin John?

Jesus saw the huge crowd as he stepped from the boat, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick.(Matthew 14:14 NLT)

When he saw the multitude, he saw their need and had compassion. Compassion helps us move forward.
He was sad but He lived for something greater than himself. When he saw the multitude he healed the sick despite what he was feeling and that helped him overcome his pain.
We need to live for something greater than ourselves.
Have your heart connected with God and connected with people.

Jesus saw the huge crowd as he stepped from the boat, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick.(Matthew 14:14 NLT)

Think about it:
Are you going through a time of grief or tests?
Do you know someone going through a similar situation or even harder than yours?
What can you do for that person?
