WHY ARE YOU CRYING?
Mary Magdalene didn’t notice Jesus was right in front of her because of her pain. She did not recognize him because she was too busy crying.
Sometimes we cry more than we should, because we think God is not with us during a problem we’re facing. We think that we are alone, that everyone has abandoned us, but it’s not so.
When we feel lonely, it is a good time to clarify our thoughts and re-focus our attention on the Lord. When no one understands your situation, it is a good opportunity to return to the One who knows it all, the One who understands it all and the One that is able to do all things.
Don’t allow sorrow to blind you and make you think you’re alone. God has not forgotten you. He will be with you all the days of your life.
God knows your struggles and He will never give you a burden beyond what you can handle (Job 34:23).
Jesus is in front of you right now, fix your eyes on Him and soon the anguish you’re going through will pass. It is only temporary, be strong and courageous.
Think about it:
What have you been focused on lately? In who or what are you depending on?
What are you seeing before you? How can you re-focus your attention on God?
