WHAT THE PRIEST DO
THE PEOPLE ALSO DO
Part 2
And what the priests do, the people also do.’ So now I will punish both priests and people for their wicked deeds. (Hosea 4:9 NLT).
2. The people.
The consequences are for the leader and for the people in general.
This part tells me that I must be careful not to imitate the bad example of a bad leader, because if not, I would also pay the consequences, not only the leader.
The leader who does wrong is responsible for his punishment, but the people have no excuse, they cannot blame the leader for their own bad decisions.
Both the leader and the people are responsible for their actions.
I must be a good example as a leader.
I must be wise as a follower and imitate only the good and not the bad.
And what the priests do, the people also do.’ So now I will punish both priests and people for their wicked deeds. (Hosea 4:9 NLT).
Think about it:
Do you have a bad leader, or have you had a bad leader in some area?
Do you imitate the good or the bad of the leaders you have?
Do you blame others for your bad decisions?
