AGE, TEAMWORK, AND EMPOWERMENT
“So, Moses and Aaron did just as the Lord had commanded them. Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron was eighty-three when they made their demands to Pharaoh” (Exodus 7:6-7 NLT).
In this passage, we will learn three different things from Moses and Aaron.
1.- YOUR AGE DOESN’T MATTER
The Word says, “So, Moses and Aaron did just as the Lord had commanded them. Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron was eighty-three when they made their demands to Pharaoh” (Exodus 7:6-7 NLT).
In this passage, we can see the importance of the task Moses and Aaron had to execute! Moses and Aaron were about to deliver over two million people.
You see, if you are around eighty years old, you are still able to start new projects that will help you fulfill God’s purpose in your life.
2.- TEAMWORK
The Bible says, “So Moses and Aaron did just as the Lord had commanded them” (Exodus 7:6 NLT).
This verse mentions both “Moses and Aaron”, thus, together we are better. Together, we are stronger and able to produce more fruit. When there is unity, age doesn’t matter, when we work as a team our strength and effectiveness is multiplied.
Join a team at church. Start to serve in a ministry, join a House of Peace, or a discipleship.
Your abilities and talents will improve once you become part of a team.
3.- EMPOWERMENT
The Bible says, “Then the Lord said to Moses: “Tell Aaron, ‘Take your staff and raise your hand over the waters of Egypt” … So, Moses and Aaron did just as the Lord commanded them… Aaron raised his staff and struck the water of the Nile…” (Exodus 7:19-20 NLT).
To make a long story short, God told Moses the following, “Empower your brother Aaron and let him strike the water with the staff”.
Let’s remember our values: faith in people, teamwork, healthy relationships, empowerment, and excellence.Empowerment is part of our culture, we believe in being empowered and in empowering others.
Perhaps, right now you are the one who is striking the water with the staff, but you need to remember that you won’t always be on earth. It is your responsibility to empower the person who will strike the water when you are gone. Make sure you leave a blessed legacy on earth!
Think About It:
Who are you enriching by teaching them to do what you do?
Do you think your age is an obstacle? What did you learn from Moses and Aaron regarding age?
