A dream’s process

A DREAM’S PROCESS

This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed (Habakkuk 2:3 NLT).

We all have dreams that we would like to fulfill, whether they are personal, in the ministry or in the family. Dreaming keeps us alert, it activates our faith and it pushes us to work harder.

In order to not give up on our dreams, we must understand the process that every dream goes through before coming true.

1. THE REVELATION OF A DREAM (Ephesians 3:20).
Everything begins with a thought, a desire, a feeling in our hearts, an idea about what we would like to be, to do or to achieve.
What dream has God given you? God has a dream for each of us, it is a purpose that is aligned to His will. If we don’t have dreams, then we are only existing.

2. MAKING A DECISION (James 1:7-8).
Maybe we have a dream that comes from God, but we still haven’t decided to go after it.
The second step to reaching a dream is deciding to make changes to achieve them. We have to chase the dream.

3. WAITING (Habakkuk 2:3).
Sometimes, it feels like we are in a waiting room because dreams take time to come to pass. Many of them are not achieved overnight, we have to keep working and waiting until they come true.
We must understand that we are not in just any waiting room, we are in the Lord’s waiting room. If we are waiting on His response, then in His time our dreams will happen.

4. THE PROBLEMS AND OPPOSITION (1 Peter 1:6-7).
There will always be opposition, criticism and obstacles that we have to face and overcome, especially when God has given us big dreams.
Even if we are going through the fire, we should not stop serving the Lord neither should we stop attending church and having faith, because God will fulfill His purpose in us.
The dream stage we are on, does not matter. If we do not give up, we won’t only be in the waiting room or in a difficult situation, but we will experience the Heavenly Father’s ransom and triumph will come.

Think about it:

What dream has the Lord given you?
According to a dream’s process, what stage are you in?
