Character of four faces

CHARACTER OF FOUR FACES

4 Each of the four cherubim had four faces: the first was the face of an ox, the second was a human face, the third was the face of a lion, and the fourth was the face of an eagle. (Ezequiel 10:4 NLT)

The different faces make me think of four qualities that I should apply to my life:

1. The ox speaks to me of strength for work. In life there are times when people get discouraged and don’t have the strength to work and prosper. Others are simply lazy, they don’t like to work and that’s why they never progress; but, in life we need to work.
Marriage needs work to be healthy.
In college you need to study hard to graduate.
A ministry needs hard work to grow.
If you want to build your own business, you need to work hard, at least at the beginning.
I have not met a successful leader who is lazy.

2. The human face speaks to me of empathy and sensitivity. Every good leader must have the ability to relate to people’s pain.
Effective supervisors can accomplish a lot of work, but they have the ability to take care of the people who work for them.
A good leader works hard, is empathetic, is not a robot, and identifies with human feelings.

3. Lion. This speaks to me about: Bravery, domain, territory.

4. Eagle. The eagle makes me think of: Leadership, excellence, height, renewal.

Each of the four cherubim had four faces: the first was the face of an ox, the second was a human face, the third was the face of a lion, and the fourth was the face of an eagle.
(Ezequiel 10:4 NLT)

Think about:

Are you working hard in all areas of your life? What area have you neglected that you need to work on?
Are you empathic with the people who work around you or are you just work?
What qualities do you think you need from the four faces?
