Friends eliminate excuses

FRIENDS ELIMINATE EXCUSES

“Four men arrived carrying a paralyzed man on a mat. They couldn’t bring him to Jesus because of the crowd, so they dug a hole through the roof above his head. Then they lowered the man on his mat, right down in front of Jesus.” Mark 2:3-4 NLT

Friends must act and do whatever is necessary to help a friend in times of necessity. “A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need.” (Proverbs 17:17 NLT)

These for friends show that they can eliminate excuses to accomplish great things in life.

1. Teamwork eliminates excuses.
One man would not have been able to bring him down from the roof in a safe way. We always accomplish greater things with greater ease when we work together.

2. Unity overcomes excuses.
These friends had a common goal. There cannot be an advancement when there are divisions in the team, and marriage, or in church.

3. Generosity overcomes excuses.
They were willing to pay the price of fixing the roof for their friend to be healed.

“Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, “My child, your sins are forgiven.” Mark 2:5 NLT

Think about it:

What great things have you not been able to accomplish alone?
What person could you involve in your project or your dream?
What common goal do you have as a family?
What excuse do you have to eliminate to accomplish something great?
