What happens to those who forgot about God

WHAT HAPPENS TO THOSE WHO FORGOT ABOUT GOD

… “Can papyrus reeds grow tall without a marsh?.. they begin to wither more quickly than grass. The same happens to all who forget God. The hopes of the godless evaporate. (Job 8:11-13 NLT)

What happens to those who forget about God?
1. They don’t grow.

… Can marsh grass flourish without water? (Job 8:11)

They can’t be successful spiritually, family-wise, socially, or financially.

2. They wither.

… they begin to wither more quickly than grass. (Job 8:12)

It speaks of emotional and sometimes physical illnesses.
Without God people have a lot of anxiety, fear of the future, stress of the present, guilt and anxiety about the past.

3. Vision evaporates. The vision is lost.

The same happens to all who forget God. The hopes of the godless evaporate. (Job 8:13)

the hopes of a better future evaporate.
They don’t have vision, there’s no passion, there’s no dreams of a better future, they don’t dream of a growing ministry, with their own business, or with a university career.
Simply, when someone is far from God, that person is dry.

… “Can papyrus reeds grow tall without a marsh?.. they begin to wither more quickly than grass. The same happens to all who forget God. The hopes of the godless evaporate. (Job 8:11-13 NLT)

Think about it
In what area have you stopped growing?
Have you felt dry or empty?
Have you lost your vision or buried your dreams?
Have you forgotten God?
