RECEIVING AND GIVING OR RECEIVING AND FLYING?
There is a saying that goes “giving and giving, the little bird flying”.
Some like to receive only bread and wine, but don’t like to give tithes. (See history in the Bible to understand the correct application).
1.- King Melchizedek went out to meet Abraham to bless him. But Abraham also responded gratefully by giving tithes of everything to those who blessed him.
to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all, first being translated “king of righteousness,” ….king of Salem…“king of peace, (Heb. 7:2 NKJV)
There are people who are blessed by God, but don’t respond gratefully by giving tithes to those who blessed them. They only want the blessing, but not the question of giving. They only want to receive the bread and wine, but they don’t want to give tithes (And we must do it willingly, gratefully and with joy in our hearts).
2.- King Melchizedek represents King Jesus Christ.
Melchizedek went to find Abraham, but Jesus Christ came to find me when I was lost in my sin. He found me and blessed me!
3.- Abraham gave to a king, now I answer and give the King Jesus Christ.
How is the blessing of a king?
A friend can bless me up to a certain limit. An ordinary man has limits, but the blessing of royalty is above all.
The blessing of the King Jesus Christ has power over all curses, over illness, over the economy, etc.!
It doesn’t have limits!!
Think about it:
Have you had an encounter with our Lord Jesus?
How has our King Jesus Christ blessed you?
How have you responded to the blessing He has given you?
