Roundabout or a fighting chance?

ROUNDABOUT OR A FIGHTING CHANCE?

And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt: But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea… Exodus 13:17-18KJV

Do we want to wander around for forty years or are we willing to fight and make the effort to achieve God’s purpose in each aspect of our life?

There is a shorter route towards success, but not everyone is willing to pay the price. In the shorter route, there is criticism, lack of sleep and betrayal; but in the longer route, you develop spiritual endurance and maturity to remain faithful to the Lord.

When we started building the temple of Aguilas Centro Familiar Cristiano, there were banks that did not believe in me, I spoke with construction companies who kindly wished me good luck and I met people that left the church because they depreciated my little experience as a leader. They didn’t believe we could fight the battles such a great vision brought along.

God is a God of processes. He had already taken us step by step, from a small warehouse to renting a building with another church to renting a building for ourselves. Finally, it was time to build.

God allowed the people of Israel to wander around in order to change the mentalities that slavery had formed in them for more than four hundred years.

But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea… Exodus 13:18 KJV

Each miracle in the desert and every enemy that had been defeated gave the Israelites identity and helped them build their faith. Therefore, every small victory God allows you to experience is forming your identity, your leadership and it’s renewing your mind.

Don’t wander around, face each battle with God’s grace, whether it is at work, with your family or in college, take advantage and get to your promised land.

Think About It:

In which areas have you been wandering around?
In your process towards the promised land, what parts of your mentality need to be renewed?
