Don’t lose your compassion II

DON’T LOSE YOUR COMPASSION II

The LORD will have compassion on Jacob; once again he will choose Israel and will settle them in their own land. Foreigners will join them and unite with the descendants of Jacob. (Isaiah 14:1 NIV)

Yesterday we learned that it is a challenge to continue being a compassionate person when it seems like the whole world is trying to take advantage of you. Let’s not become bitter, resentful or liars. But, we should not allow them to make us like them. Let’s not take that path.

1.Let’s look at those same rude people with compassion.
2.We will feel better when we see them with compassion, like people with spiritual and emotional needs.
3.Let’s set limits for those people. We can’t control how the world acts; we can only control our world.
4. Let’s imitate our Lord Jesus.

Lord, give me grace and wisdom to be like you.
Help me to set healthy limits, but also to make the difference.
Help me to be the light and the salt in the world.
I know I will be happy when I treat others with compassion.
Let me reap compassion, because I have sown compassion.
Let me set the standard, so everyone can see that we can be both a compassionate person and a successful leader in this world.

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. (Ephesians 4:32 NIV)

Think about it:
What makes you feel better? Being indifferent or compassionate with others?
Why do you think it is important to set limits to people?
In what way are you making the difference in this world or how can you do it?
