GOD HAS PLACED CHARGES AGAINST THE WORLD
Part 2
God placed charges because we are living in a situation similar to what the people of Israel experienced more than two millennials ago. Yesterday among other things, we learned that people are not interested in God and that evil has multiplied. As well as:
We ignore God.
My people are being destroyed because they don’t know me. Since you priests refuse to know me, I refuse to recognize you as my priests. Since you have forgotten the laws of your God, I will forget to bless your children.(Hosea 4:6 NLT)
We ignore God:
- Because we are living in a secular society.
- Because we are living in our comfort.
- Because we are so blessed, but busy enjoying our blessings, we forget who gave us the blessings.
The Solution:
- Know God. To have an intimate relationship with God.
Then I will return to my place until they admit their guilt and turn to me. For as soon as trouble comes, they will earnestly search for me.” (Hosea 5:15 NLT)
- We have to turn to God.
“Come, let us return to the Lord. He has torn us to pieces; now he will heal us. He has injured us; now he will bandage our wounds. (Hosea 6:1 NLT)
- We must remember that God receives us and responds to us.
Oh, that we might know the Lord! Let us press on to know him. He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn or the coming of rains in early spring.”. (Hosea 6:3 NLT)
