The glory of the Lord and my body

THE GLORY OF THE LORD AND MY BODY

“… and the glorious presence of the LORD filled the Temple. The priests could not enter the Temple of the LORD because the glorious presence of the LORD filled it..” (2 Chronicles 7:1-2 NLT)

In this passage I can see that the temple was filled with the glory of God, it made me think that now in day my body is the temple of the holy spirit of God.

Wherever my body enters, that is where I take either a spiritual atmosphere or one of the flesh, I take with me either joy or sadness, hate or love, chaos, or peace… Everything depends on what is in my body.
Wherever I go, does the atmosphere change to one of tension and anxiety, or to one of peace and love?
It depends on what kind of temple I am.

I will make a sincere evaluation of myself, and I wonder, how full am I of the glory of God, and how full am I of the temporary things of the flesh here on this earthly life?
I will reflect and ask myself, what truly dominates my thoughts, the eternal, or the temporary? The spiritual or the flesh?
Where do I invest my energy, feelings, and time?  In the unseen spiritual things, or in the desires of the eyes, the flesh, and the self-glory of life?

“For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.” 2 Chronicles 7:2 NLT

To be continued…

Think about it:

What atmosphere do you create where you go?
Are you filled with the glory of God or of the things of the flesh in this world?
Which is more important for you, the spiritual things, or the materialistic things of this world?
Where do you invest most of your time?
