He succeeded to the throne

HE SUCCEEDED TO THE THRONE

Then Jehoshaphat, Asa’s son, became the next king. He strengthened Judah…. (2 Chronicles 17:1 NLT)

Reading this passage this morning reminded me that we are all temporary in our role.
We are all going to be succeeded by someone and we are successors of someone.
We must all one day pass the baton to our successors.
We are in our physical body temporarily (until we have a glorified body).
My role on this earth is temporary.
The footballer has a temporary career.
The politician has a temporary office.
The owner of a company has a temporary career.
The value of money is temporary.
I am just an administrator.

Then Jehoshaphat, Asa’s son, became the next king. He strengthened Judah….(2 Chronicles 17:1 NLT)

Lord, help me to be a good administrator of what you have entrusted to me, of my family, the ministry, time, money, strength, etc.

Think about it:
Have you focused more on temporal things or on eternal ones?
What has God entrusted to you?
In what area do you need to be a better manager?
