MANY TIMES

Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son… Hebrews 1:1-2 NLT

God is always speaking to us, in different ways and in a special way so we can understand Him. The problem is that many times we are not alert, we have not practiced His Word and therefore, we keep battling in the same areas of our life.

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27 NLT

Everyone who has accepted the Lord in their heart is considered a sheep, a child of God. The true sons and daughters know the voice of the Heavenly Father, and they know how to distinguish the enemy’s voice and their own voice in order to continue with their purpose.

Three elements God uses to speak to us:

1. Time
Since a long time ago, and even till now, God continues to speak to us. There are seasons in our lives when we end cycles, when we start over, when there is breakthrough and when we have to endure, which can be compared to the seasons on earth. Thus, it is very important to pay attention to the Holy Spirit during each stage of our lives or else we might lose the blessings or delay His plans for our lives.

2. Frequency
God has spoken many times, not a few. We human beings are the ones who choose not to listen. The Bible says that we should be fast at hearing and slow at speaking. We need to tune our spiritual ears through daily prayer and by reading the Word.

3. Forms
The Lord speaks to us in many forms, He even spoke through the prophets. He has spoken to us in the middle of our personal storms, through nature, through people, even in our own dreams. He literally is after our hearts.
He speaks to you in the Bible. He speaks when you pray on a daily basis. He speaks when you hear a teaching at church that has to do with your spiritual, family, social or financial life.

4. Relevance
God keeps speaking. He has not spoken to us in a way that is too difficult or intellectual, instead He speaks to us in a simple and practical way. He sometimes speaks to us in a peculiar manner, because He is specifically trying to capture our attention so that we understand Him.

Think about it:
Are you listening to the guidance God is giving you to make wise decisions this week?
Which area has God already spoken to you about, but that you are still ignoring?
