Run

RUN

When they were safely out of the city, one of the angels ordered,
“Run for your lives! and don’t look back or stop anywhere in the valley! escape to the mountains, or you will be swept away!” (Genesis 19:17 NLT)

The word “run” catches my attention.
This word speaks to me of speed.
it speaks to me to do something right away.
It tells me not to delay.
It tells me not to overthink about something.
It talks to me about taking action.

There are things I must do urgently.  …one of the angels ordered, “Run for your lives!” … (Genesis 19:17 NLT)

It tells me that there are decisions that cost your life. When they were safely out of the city, one of the angels ordered, “Run for your lives!” (Genesis 19:17 NLT)

It talks to me about not getting stuck in the negative things that have happened to me in the past— “Run for your lives!  and don’t look back or stop anywhere in the valley! (Genesis 19:17 NLT)

It shows me that getting stuck in the negative of the past can destroy my purpose

No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing; forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly price for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. Philippians. 3:13 NLT

Think about it:
What have you been putting off that you urgently need to do?
What important life decisions do you need to make?
What things from your past do you feel have not allowed you to move forward or fulfill your purpose?
