THERE’S NO NEED TO LIE
God has given us a free will. He does not force people to give nor to serve. Instead, He wants all of us to give our time, service, and effort voluntarily. Since the beginning of creation, He gave us the freedom to make our own choices so that we would choose to love Him voluntarily and not by force. Therefore, everything we do should be done wholeheartedly.
In life, we will have many options to choose from, and sometimes we will have to choose between two options that might both be good choices. However, we shouldn’t lie. What am I referring to? I’m referring to the fact that we shouldn’t pretend to be someone we are not, neither should we do something that we didn’t do wholeheartedly. If we do this, we will only be lying to ourselves and to God.
There’s no need for us to lie nor to do what we do just so we can please someone or because we want to appear a certain way before people. We must choose to be honest with ourselves, with those who surround us and above all with God.
Every day of our life, we have to make all kinds of decisions. Some of them will benefit us, others will only be to our disadvantage. Some of those decisions will be made because we want to and other decisions will be made because we have to. Nevertheless, we should make honest decisions that will align us to God’s purpose for our lives.
Think about it:
How have you used your free will? Have you decided to be honest?
Have you been doing what you do at your job, your church and in your life wholeheartedly?
