The Figs are Ready

THE FIGS ARE READY

The time of harvest is here

“The fig trees are forming young fruit, and the fragrant grapevines are blossoming. Rise up, my darling! Come away with me, my fair one!” (Song of Solomon 2:13 NLT)

This verse, where the bride represents the church and the groom represents God, reminds us that the time of harvest is ready, and it is time for the church to rise up.

  1. The fruit is already here
The fig trees are forming young fruit as the verse says: “the fig tree puts forth her green figs” (Song of Solomon 2:13 NKJV). This tells us that the harvest of souls is ready to be collected by the church. In our city, there is an abundant harvest of people ready to receive the message of salvation. The church must be alert and take advantage of this opportunity with the series “Decisions that Heal”, which will guide many towards spiritual healing.
  2. The church must rise and act
God calls us to rise and take action: “Rise up, my darling!” (Song of Solomon 2:13 NLT). This is a divine invitation to go out and gather the souls that are ready to hear the message. The church cannot remain still; it must rise with determination and follow God in this mission of rescue and healing. Through the series “Decisions that Heal”, we can join God to collect this spiritual fruit that is ready in our community.
  3. We work as a team with God
“Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away!” (Song of Solomon 2:13 NKJV). The church is not alone in this task; God Himself goes before us, guiding us in the harvest. It is time to unite with Him and work together to gather the souls that are waiting for us in our city.

Think about it:

  • What steps can you take today to rise up and join God in the harvest of souls He has prepared?
  • How can you collaborate with your church to gather this spiritual fruit in your community?
  • In what way can your willingness to act inspire others to join in this harvest mission alongside God?
